TL;DR Herby's smash burgers are the best I've ever had. The menu is short but everything on it is fantastic, but my go to is the OG smash with bacon, no onions, and an order of cheese tots or fries. It's not complicated but it's consistently done amazingly well by people who you can really tell care. The icing on the cake is the space itself, the decorating is retro and charming, the music in the jukebox curated by DJ Sober enhances the atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The only thing that would make Herby's better would be if it was closer to my house but for now I'll keep driving down there when I crave great food and a real vibe.

Herby's, a burger joint in Oak Cliff, is a joint venture with DJ Sober, Elijah (of Peaberry Coffee) and Jake (of Rev's Grilled Cheese's). I was surprised to find Herby's open for lunch this past weekend. As a burger foodie , they have been on my list to see what is up. Noted a retro style and music vibes. A big part of the focus seems to be on creating a space for the community to hang out. You do hear that a lot. Most businesses include it in their culture. At Herby's , I feel it. We ordered a couple of burgers & cheese tots. I usually don't modify. However on burgers , if you give me the option to add an egg & bacon, I'm going to do it. The ingredients and preparation are on point. Delicious! The inside ambience is getting there. I hear they have plans to add more. I appreciated the on point service.

Herby's Burgers is super cute. I love the location and how the decor takes you back in time. I watched a Instagram reel recommending Herby's and since I was in the area I figured why not try it out? I have been craving a smash burger forever. Unfortunately due to my health I have to quit red meat for a while. That however was not an issue as their veggie burger was delicious. Made out of black beans and filled with sauce, grilled onions, and spice, the veggie burger was a hit. The tater tots were also really good. My husband had the original smash burger and enjoyed it as well. I feel like Herby's would be perfect if they also offered milkshakes. The atmosphere totally calls for a strawberry shake and good juke box music. Will def return and try more on the menu. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They food came out very quickly. The prices were decent.

Excellent food and clean, upbeat atmosphere! I ran across this location after an appointment in the area. The burger may not look big, but it was mighty! I had the Herby Jr. since I just wanted to try it and added bacon . I almost went back in for an OG Smash Burger! I gave a 4 bc the fries were seasoned with paprika, but not much else. They were kinda mid at best. The service was fast, very friendly and she even delivered my food to me next door! Definitely plan on making this my burger place!

Went on a Saturday night, and the vibes were on point, with a DJ spinning vinyl in the corner. Ordered OG smashburgers which comes with onions, special sauce, cheese and plenty of sliced pickles. Really enjoyed the flavor of everything, the char of the meat and the soft, squishy bun. I wish the burger was just less greasy - my paper tray was covered in grease, but overall, a delicious burger! They didn't have tots tonight, unfortunately, but the fries were crispy and seasoned well. Will come again!
